About Paws on the Rocks Grooming Co.

 I’m a real estate broker and the owner of Mustang Realty, proudly serving the Lake Powell area—a place my family and I are deeply invested in both professionally and personally. While real estate is my profession, animals have always been my passion.

My love for dogs started early. Growing up, my family always had dogs underfoot—mostly small breeds. My parents owned Papillons, and we also had several mixed-breed dogs over the years. My grandparents had a beloved poodle named Peppie, who was part of our family until I was twelve. Those early experiences instilled in me a deep appreciation for the companionship, loyalty, and individual personalities of dogs.

In recent years, that lifelong love has grown into something more hands-on. My younger sister, Faith—who is thirteen years younger than me—began her professional grooming career in 2021 after graduating high school in Louisville, Kentucky. She visits us annually, and during those visits she began grooming locally. It didn’t take long for me to recognize a real need in the Lake Powell area for a dedicated, reliable dog groomer—especially in a community that sees an influx of travelers, seasonal residents, and working families who want dependable care for their dogs.

Our own household reflects that passion. We currently share our home with Indiana, our 11-year-old lab/heeler mix, and Mao, our cat. After Christmas, we’ll be welcoming a Rough Collie puppy into our family, which made the timing feel right to take the next step and officially open a grooming business.

In addition to real estate and grooming, my husband and I co-own and operate Lake Powell Gateway RV Resort in Big Water alongside my stepmother-in-law, welcoming visitors from all over the country to experience the Lake Powell region we call home. As business owners and parents of four children ranging in age from 12 to an infant, our lives are full, busy, and deeply rooted in this community.

As this grooming business grows, my goals are rooted in long-term service to the Lake Powell community. At this stage, services are intentionally focused on the essentials—bathing, nail care, and de-shedding—allowing me to provide careful, low-stress care while building a strong foundation.

As the business continues to develop, I plan to expand services to include breed-specific cuts and more advanced grooming options. This phased approach ensures quality is never rushed and that each dog receives attentive, individualized care. I am committed to building a reputation for reliability, gentle handling, and clear communication with pet owners, whether they are local families, seasonal residents, or visitors traveling through the Lake Powell region.

Looking ahead, my vision is to grow sustainably—maintaining personalized care while expanding availability to meet the needs of our unique, tourism-driven area—so owners can feel confident leaving their dogs in capable, caring hands.

Combining my background as a business owner with my lifelong love for animals felt like a natural fit. My goal is to provide thoughtful, patient, and high-quality grooming services—treating every dog with the same care and respect I give my own.
